Hey you! How strange that you wrote this recently - I haven't logged in in years! My wee sis has just started a deviantart page - yup, she's now at that age and I feel officially old.
Life got a bit crazy for a while. I'm living in Norway now! (certainly makes a nice change from Aldershot lol)

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I only just saw this i'm so so sorry! I'm so happy for you! :D (Big Grin) I thought you went all quiet suddenly, man I fucking miss the hell out of ye. <3

Doing good, beating my personal demons and mental health shit. (Its not pretty up in my head anymore, lol.)

Got a few physical qualms with my tendons in my legs, making it hard to get around and i've put on a butt-ton of weight so i'm all gross and belly-ish. Lol.

But, gonna try and beat my pain and try to get fit once more and able to play the drums.

You'll never guess what I found in my room, remember Random Song T? Yep. I still have it. :) (Smile)

Great hearing from you again. I honestly thought you'd vanished. But Norway sounds SOOO much better than Aldershit. XD

I'm currently in progress of moving in with my bf in London. Its not a great place to be, but he's doing some animal courses in college to hopefully get a job looking after the animals at Wingham Wildlife Park in Kent. Looking at some of the cheap cottages there and let me tell you, I can't wait to escape from the busy busy world of London!

I hope the UK has good disability benefits and they're treating you well. I'm going to my first anime convention in years, and since I'm getting a haircu soon, I want to get your old 'Gaara' haircut; I'm gonna cosplay him for the convention. :) (Smile) Do you mind if I print out a couple pics of you cosplaying Gaara to show my hairdresser, and do you possibly have any 'front view' photos you can send me? Hey there, sorry I'm so late in replying! I'm glad my story had an impact on you, it's nice to hear from a fellow anime fan who's also disabled. Sadly in the UK the benefits situation is getting worse so first thing on my mind is getting my savings in order :O (Eek)

Best of luck with the convention. I know how nerve-wracking it is, especially when you have a long-term condition and other people are unaware of how everyday things may affect you. I don't know your situation but for me certainly being pushed aside or the slightest knock can have a much worse effect than on an able-bodied person so the prospect of the situation is a bit scary. But it can be overcome, and I gotta say that getting back into cosplaying again has made me soo happy, hopefully this anime convention for you will bring the same kind of joy :) (Smile)

That's a shame to hear about bad benefits, America's aren't perfet either. :( (Sad) I did go to that con, but I ended up going as Hinata because my friend was Neji. XD Oh I know what you mean. I've gotten pushed around before; its not easy being disabled. I'm just glad I can go to conventions again. :D (Big Grin) Thank you sooo much!

I made the cosplays myself, used my own hair at first then got a wig from www.contrastwigs.com when my hair grew out. The gourd is a papier-maché beach ball job (hand painted, with real sand glued over the surface), the clothes all hand-sewn except for the leather jacket in the Shippuden version, which was from Covent Garden market in London. You can get suitable makeup from any decent theatrical makeup shop. I shaved off my eyebrows for the first few cosplays and used eyebrow threading and makeup for later ones.
