oh nooooo! we got animation and web design after holidays! oh, i'm sorry *ahem* after "study break". or whatever.
i downloaded the autodesk maya software we'll be using in animation and been trying to get a handle on it. i just told them "yeah, i'm a student from some school you've never heard of in that big country in that hemisphere of the world you never remember" and they were like "oh okay, here, have some free software"

I've never used Maya, thought I've used Max and sulpris.

just putting it out there, incase maya ends up turning you off the whole digital sculpting thing: you should know that autodesk's maya ain't got SHIT on pixologic's zbrush. i donwloaded the trial last year, it was digital sex!

max is. maya...not so much. BUT!! zbrush projects can be imported into maya nd max easy as shiiiiiit!
so i'm wondering, if i choose to stick with animation in future years, will i be permitted to use other programs (like... i dunno, zbrush) or will i be restricted to programs available at skewl.

yup. i don't like it because all this expansion of the assassin's creed universe lately is eating away and the tantalising intrigue that asscreed creates by feeding us only what we need to know. now thanks to legacy, we know all kinds of stories that didn't need telling and it's thanks to legacy that we have all these number elements going into brotherhood, investiment options and what not. how you played legacy?! it's like organising your finances at all, it's not an asscreed game at all!
ubisoft is gettign way ahead of themselves with all these projects

i don't see the need, it comes from a contrived idea that movies are the highest form of fictional existance and something has not yet reached its potential unless it's been made into a movie. screw that, the game is better than any film would ever be! and don't give me this "it's introducing the franchise to a whole new audience!" shut up! it's a GAME series, it's for people who play GAMES, if you don't play GAMES that it doens't concern you! this is my problem, people need to go out and find new things, how are they going to learn to explore other areas of fictional entertainment if they just have to sit on their fat arses knowing that if anything out there is any good, it'll be brought to them in the form of a terrible movie. fucking leonardo di caprio wants to reloacted akira from neo-tokyo to neo-manhatten!
