The show doesn't really use shading, otherwise I would have... I mean, they DO, but it isn't like SUPER GRADIENT BRAAAAGH

Not an excuse. Wanting your art to look exactly like somebody else's doesn't really make sense to me.

I'm just learning the style, and finally finding out different ways to hold the pencil so that I can get cleaner looking lines, and if they aren't clean looking, easily erasable.

And then whilst inking, I've been trying to figure out a good way to emulate pen strokes... I might need to write my own plugin for it for Gimp.
