# About me

This is my deviantart from when I was in school from 2004-2008, back when deviantart was in it's heyday.

I'm pretty embarrassed by everything here. Nevertheless, I'm leaving this profile up as a reminder of bad my work used to be, and neglecting the potential I had by not putting in the time and effort needed to refine the talents I had, and not giving myself the chance to overcome the flaws that held me back.

I've drastically changed my attitude and priorities since then, only by taking a good clear look at my work ethic and output, and being honest with myself that I'll only continue to be frustrated by my own work unless I figure out what's needed to do to improve it.

It took me a long time to realize just how much continuous work is needed to become fluent at this thing called drawing, not just clumsily throwing something together every once in a great while and wondering why it doesn't come out the way I imagined it. Developing skill is a long road, but sometimes it takes us a lot of time and being honest with ourselves before we're able to take the real first step.

Hopefully with effort, I'll look back at the work I'm doing now with the same sense of "I've come a long way" that I look at this work with, and be proud of how I've spent that time.
