aww thank you It's honestly just a bit of practice, find some references and doodle away. Draw all the things!

True!  But its so darn tricky to reference and draw made up things.  And since its a webcomic I have to think about how it moves and looks at different angles... I can barely do that with normal things \(゚ー゚\)

Well, I've now got some serious respect for video game concept artists and the like.Β

Base anatomy off real life creatures, since most fantasy creatures are a good mix 'n mash of real life animals simple pics / anatomy books / google are a real life saver if you can wrangle real life critter anatomy then it's just the process of snipping it up and tinkering with it to blend with everything else if that makes sense. Dragons for example, bat wings / lizard scales, throw in some horse or feline body structure and boom... dergen

There's so many animals you could use even a Shrimp if you wanted to go crazy with it! If you were looking at books I'd recommend these two; An Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists and Animal Anatomy for Artists , I have both and they're quite good. You can also find pages from the books online on google I think too

Thanks!
I usually reference this: majnouna.deviantart.com/art/Ba…
Majnouna has a ton of other tutorials too, including a really big one for different facial expressions.Β  You should definitely check it out.

ooh interesting. Thanks for the link, I took a look at the tutorials and the expression one is nice though I think i'm more partial to sticking my nose in anatomy books for some reason

Np.Β  I've used it a lot, I like how it explains what happens to certain features when different expressions are made, so you can adapt it accordingly to your style and how much detail you use in drawing a face.
