ContributeArt GROUP MEMBERSSince the original group has been hijacked and mutilated, it, unfortunately, cannot be used safely any longer. All the folders, all the vital information, all the artwork, got deleted in the hijacking. However, I have opened another group entitled, "ContributeArts". hey James, love your stuff.Β I just signed my first contract as a graph D for a local record label.Β They also do work with publishers so I am very excited to get started with them..Β Pricing has not been brought up yet, and they were supposed to send me a proposed pricing list but haven't just yet.Β
Β Ive been asking around about this subject with some of the other people I know and one of the best answers I got was to purchase a copy of the graphic artist guild handbook for pricing and ethical guidelines,Β which I have found to be fairly extensive and will help me out a great deal.Β
Β I know you do really good work so I was curious as to your take on this.Β Im not really looking to get rich or anything, but I don't want to sell myself too short either. Some of these prices in here for things that I will be required to do... cd covers, logos, t-shirts etc., all pretty easy,but some of the prices in the book are kinda up there. Have you ever heard of the book, and was it a good buy, and should I implement this with my client or not?
