thank you so much for that - you have no idea how much that means to me - i feel "unheard" sometimes on this site - and little "ups" like that re-inspire me - so thank you!

fantastic comment on Got Beauty and AMEN to your words - i agree totally! society is pretty much about "go west young man and claim your life" - i.e. compete, win, go go go...

thanks for encouraging such work in me

Hey, Thanks for the welcome note. Funny, I haven't been to Abpeg much since 2000. You've actually made my day today. The net is too big to cross paths with other people more than once.

thank you for your insightful comment

i agree that feminism has gotten out of hand in SOME movements, but NO WAY is it now a time where things could be equal if women wanted it - its a along long way off in many respects

and for myself, its not a matter of men being at fault only - its women too - playing into age old stereotypes b/c it works for them and then asking for something else

its really just how the culture and nature work but to say there is no inequality for women is simply unfounded

i do agree with you that Carol Adams is a bit out there with her comparisions - but i only used her b/c i was simply exploring the ideas of that phrase and were it came from

thank you for your honesty -i truly appreciate it

listen, all i was trying to do was show people what i was doing for my technology project. the only reason i uploaded three of them was because of the details on the different aspects of the model that weren't visible. by the way, when you've been doing a 28 mile run the day before you really can't be bothered doing much, so that's why i didn't include much of a comment.
i think the only reason you think it sucks is cuz all you can do is take pictures of shitty plants and animals and not be able to do stuff like that.
in the future, keep innapropriate comments to yourself and maybe give some tips on how to make stuff better. have a look at my series of pictures of fountains abbey, and let's see if your capable of doing that.

Hi Jet,

Thank you for commenting on "Maha Bodhisattva Radiant Illusion" (Damn thats a long name). You are right, the highlights are incredibly saturated. The midtones just barely show up before the shadow kicks in. I did this to accentuate the radiance of the image and to create the feeling of a heaven realm, something other-worldly, though you are right, I may have over done it a bit. We'll see how the color evolves in future pieces.

Cheers,
Gregory

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill

spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.

Thanx for commenting on my work. I must admit that I really didn't like the way it seemed to be fighting itself, but it was more for the poem than for anything else. I'm glad you like the part that I wanted to matter. Thanx for the advice; I'll keep it in mind when I try it again.

WOW!

You have some nice and interesting work here...

I went by mistake trough this-day-last-year (I wanted to see yesterday's) submissions and got cought by your 2 "Point Lobos" deviations... only later I realized they were from the same autor, so here I am... great work...

I'll be keeping an Eye on you

BTW. I agree totally with you about "constructive comments" on bad stuff... fell free to tell me what is bad in my gallery (don't be too rough though )

People telling me that they don't like what I've done is a risk I take with everything that I submit. And if someone dosn't like it, that's alright.
However, my piece wasn't to make a joke of anyone that's been in that situation, or still might be in that situation. And when I was doing the picture, that wasn't what I was hoping for in the end result. I was originally trying to fit it into my 'h u r t' series, but saw it wouldn't work, and then it became what it is.
As far as blood placement, I know nothing about what it's 'supposed' to look like. But if to you, it looks like a snake bite, then ok. I guess everyone will think it looks either right or wrong, good or bad...

So basically, this new stuff I've been uploading is what I prefer to do, but was unable to upload due to my lack of a scanner. anyway, thanks for the comment..
