I to am getting antsy. I am ready to go in debt for a 1DmkIII. I was waiting on the PMA announcements today to see if Canon was going to up grade the 5D but it seems that won't happen until the fall. So I think I will bite the bullet and order the mkIII. Because I shoot in all kinds of weather I think the mkIII will serve me better. In the fall I'll look at upgrading the 5D.
Another thought about lenses The EF 50 f1.8 is verry good and it is cheap. ($79 new) ($50used). It is pretty good for low light. Check you later, Paw Paw Bill
