# About me

Born and raised in France, originally from Provence, I have been living next to Paris for 3 years now. Let me say that it is definitely not the same thing as the international image of the capital (for which the townhall and city business board are responsible for). I mean, I guess you could have the glamourous way of life, the epic love stories of romanticism and the communal joie de vivre that it represents, but only if you have the salary for it, and that is better called gentrification. Even I can't pay for many activities of Paris, and I'm a freakin' frenchman, but I hold on just to avoid going back at my parent's house, which is deep in the snowy mountains of Savoie. The more you think french culture is glamourous, the more you fall in yet another commercial utopic unrealistic add. It just comes from the opulent royalty of the 18th century french kingdom actually. As the upper classes were #partyinghard Antoinette style, the country had to hold on to luxury somehow if the economy ever wanted to survive the Revolution. Did you know that it is in 19th century Paris that the pre-capitalism concept of the shopwindow came to the world? And if you ever looked at one today seeing the "composition" of a shopwindow, you know how consumption-twisted it is. But hey, that's the western-dream business right?
