It happens all the time, mainly for tshirts, a lot of peoples designs end up altered very slightly and on sale in places like primark, this then means they have a long battle in court :S

that is awful - what about if one watermarks the picture?

Always the safest option, however its easy to open in photoshop and trace all the lines into a new image and claim it as your own :S

I have been asked why I am still looking for an artist. I have 5 children's books all written that I want to get illustrated. So far I have artists for 2 of the books who want to do the project. That leaves 3 more books. These are serious projects - the product is going to be a book published on LULU.COM. I am going to self-publish my stories there. You will have a published work to refer to and show to people and it could be the start of a career. Right now it is just an idea but it could be something really cool that you can get involved in. I need enthusiastic people who want to really work hard at this and get a done. I am the kind of person who gets my projects completed.
