More drawings, less screenshots... I prefer concept over perfection... So cool, clever ideas is what I like... making it look like a photo isn't important. Be free, do your style, enjoy and keep it up! To me art is an expression of your inner beauty. Try lots of different forms of art. You never know you might find one you are much better at and or it's good at being an all rounder of art. Happy 2017 Xmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, Happy 2018. I guess we see things differently. My mum says I'm 10years ahead of my time. I think it showcases your heart. Like another person's art says a lot to me about their complexity, their creativity, their understanding of beauty, their style, their thinking, their flaws and what they are like. Please do not be angry or condescending at me for disagreeing. It's not that I'm trying to make you change the way you see the world of art, I completely respect it. I just do not think like that about my own art. I don't really showcase my heart or anything on it. I only draw for fun.
I'm sure there's a lot of people that think like you and do pour their souls on their art. That's great, but if I don't, I have all my rights to do so too. Different people, different opinions and actions.

Well, I'm sorry that you're sad about it, but always remember that I never meant any ill with this disagreement.
That's the thing though, you see my art and interpret it however you like, because that's how art is. It's subjective. Even when I'm the creator, my take on my own drawing is different than whoever sees it. And that's okay.

This is a cool debate. I am learning a lot. Mmm I think if one gets your art, they understand your heart. If your feelings, tastes or opinions are different (subjective) then they don't understand your heart and if they do they get your heart (can't be perfect always but it can be close). For me I like to talk in pictures because you can say a lot with a simply idea (a picture is worth a thousand words) and I will be trying out a new concept of painting my art on a plain shirt and seeing if anyone is interested soon. I will let you know how the experiment goes. To me I think art from your heart may equal true love and I hold this concept I came up with close to my heart (none of the love at first sight b.s) I think you're really clever but I am still bemused. It's like I can never convince you no matter what I say or do. I have this really good quote "you can't tell people what to do, but you can say what you think." So pretty much I've said virtually everything and you can stick with your decision or evolve with me as a friend. Bestest wishes pray pray pray luck luck luck. Lol reminds me of your page and you write like a hundred comments telling people not to leave a comment lol which I think is funny and cracks me up hehe. Yours artistically, Jp.

I suppose it was a misunderstanding then. I'm sorry if it hurt you, but I won't lie to you. I'm an honest dude. I would be lying if I said that I pour my heart, soul, and very being on my art, because I don't. It's a hobby I enjoy, even my front page states I'm a Hobbyist. And a hobby is defined as something you do on your leisure time for entertainment.
If you think I'm a lesser Artist or person because I don't pour my heart on what I do, please go ahead. I won't judge.

It's not necessarily that one pours their heart, being and soul into every work. But you do put in a lot of time, thought and creative passion which is love. Art is an expression of your inside. Just because you don't do it with all your heart doesn't mean no heart is involved. You can't have inner beauty without heart. Art is my passion and I most enjoy doing art for others to show how much I love them. I am not a professional artist and it's just a hobby too but I do spend a lot of time doing it making presents for people with art (no need to buy rubbish from the store) when art from your heart (or from yourself created by you) is the best present 🎁. You are triple cool. I don't understand how art is just fun when you love to do it and your on DeviantArt. Sounds like more than just fun. Fun is defined as enjoyment. Which is true for everyone who does art but if you do it often and belong to a group like deviantart etc it's more love than just fun. Fun is something you don't put much time into usually but you like it. I define love as above (time, thought and creative passion which I think is better than what's in the dictionary). Cool beans, I'll let you know about my experiment and leave you alone (don't want to hassle you). Jp

Time, thought and or creative passion (not effort, effort slots into time category) are parts of love and is what I think of when I hear the word love. Like if you put time into someone or something it is a form of love (like just talking to you is showing my love and that I put a lot of time and thought into this conversation, as you too), if you are thoughtful it is a form of love (like listening and understanding and showing that you were listening and understanding by asking questions or making something etc), if you are romantic it is a form of love (like doing something beautiful for the person/animal etc. Things like helpfulness, kindness and respect would slot into thoughtful category. I would love to hear if you have a better interpretation of what love means to you? Sorry for not getting back to you straight away.
