# About me
As an anthropology and ecology enthusiast, I think often about the juxtaposition of ancestral humanity and our modern way of life, especially regarding our interactions with nature. No matter how technologically advanced our species becomes, we cannot seem to shake our deep connection to the natural world. When I make art, I try to capture that wild and universal element which has inspired so many thousands of years of folklore, magic, culture, feeling, and of course, art. The world is a place of dreaminess, mist, and small whispers. Within any given piece of mine is a conglomeration of inspirational material, including wildlife of the Western US, natural objects, moodiness, and magical (or suggestively magical) representations. My work has been described as “ethereal,” “poetic,” and “totemic,” all descriptions I take to heart.# Comments
