I grew up in the jungles of Papua New Guinea, and moved to the California after high school. I received my bachelor's degree and am currently living in San Diego, dabbling in art whenever I have time.

That's so awesome! I grew up in Papua New Guinea, and then moved to California to attend college. I doodled as much as any kid but really picked up art my senior year of high school. I had a teacher that pushed me to try new things when it came to art and I realized how therapeutic it can be to create things. I realized the whole process can be thought-intensive and remarkably interdisciplinary. It has helped me in other subjects as well. I'd like to teach eventually. Do you have any future plans in the art realm?

Keep practicing and you'll get there. ;) (Wink) Oh, and take my advice and invest in a black copic sketch marker for your portraits. I don't go anywhere without mine.
