That's neat! The only things I can really make up as I go along are scarfs/hats/and blankets. Otherwise I need to use a pattern.

There are a few of us men who crochet, cross stitch, knit, etc... We're a rare breed, but we do exist. I'm actually a member of a men who crochet forum on Yahoo. There's about 40 or so members... 40 out of I don't know how many millions of men worldwide? I'd say that's pretty rare. Proud to be one! :P (Lick)

You can search for "amigurumi" and get a ton of patterns. Sometimes I find plushie books at Barnes & Noble too. Hope this helps!

Actually, I've watched my mom crochet ever since I was little. She taught me, but I didn't actually make anything till about a year and a half ago (that's when I fell in love with making crochet plushies).
