Actually it is stealing. When you take an image that isn't yours (an also isn't legitimate stock) and upload it, it is art theft. An when its a copyrighted image its also fraud.

Your sonic images are built on stolen works that are copyrighted to a company. It doesn't matter if you link back to it, its still not allowed on deviantart.

Actually, since they are in fact stolen & you in fact don't have written permission from the company that owns them, nor did you upload that with the images, they will eventually be taken down by the mods (don't believe me check Devart from about 3 weeks ago, its flooded with Sonic takedown complaints). Keep them up, it makes no difference to me... In fact i prefer you keep them up, it just boosts my "take down accuracy" rate when they are eventually taken down.

You're all high and mighty and go out of your way to report other user's fan arts just because you lack the talent to make anything of quality and feel like you've been cheated somehow because you make 'original content' and still don't get the amount of attention that works based on official material get. You hide this under the name of art-theft and pretend to be this crusader of original content, but it is what it is; pure and concentrated jealousy. (And I've seen your work, it's nothing to write home about...)

What's next? report my winx fan piece because it's depicting a copyrighted character? Or perhaps my Louis vuitton parody piece because it's based on a worldly famous design?

It's copyright prudes like you that make things like sopa come into play. It's people like you who take down video's from youtube because there's a copyrighted song playing in the background. Isn't it?

And if you want to do this, at least stand up for the artists and illustrators who's art was deliberately stolen, people who lose money or credibility over the act of art theft. Not for the big corporations who just want to feel empowered by taking down fan-related content. I'm not hurting ANYONE with this.

Hahahahahahahahaha, no. I don't care if people look at what i make or not. I don't make it for other people i make it for me. If someone else likes my stuff thats cool, if they don't thats cool too. /facepalm. Do you happen to know what the Texas Sharp Shooter fallacy is? Because you are using it pretty extensively. The fact is that you signed a contract that said you agreed to play by the rules, you then broke those rules... Hence those rules violations have been reported. You can make accusations all you like, but they've still been reported.

Rules are meant to be broken, and I believe there's a huge difference between taking something and add something extra (like covering a song), and just uploading something that isn't yours and take all credit. And I never did that.

Sure it's against policy, but who cares? Everybody breaks rules all the time, and if you're not hurting anyone with it, then why should we care? I'm sure you don't always play by the rules, right?
