Ok, so, I bought the CD, and I was like, wow, as soon as i see anna i'll give her a copy and won't she be just so excited and surprised? thanks maureen, for ruining a perfectly good surprise...i even drew a balloon on the cover and everything...i thought you were more into it than Maureen, so that's why i just told her outright. i wanted to see that happy little look on your face when i proudly presented you with your very own copy of the Enduring Love soundtrack complete with illustration. oh well. as soon as i see you, you'll get a copy. PS: you happen to owe me a letter instead, but let it pass. I'll write you one anyway. oh, and I saw fight club (edward norton IS a delight) and read the book, and read Enduring Love (not as good as the movie) and am currently ordering Invisible Monsters from the Library (to my mother's dismay, but what can one do? more details in my letter.

first of all... let me just say... you are A MASTER AT LIFE.
you read fight club, watched it (edward norton is like Gods most wondrous creation--forget Brad Pitt), read enduring love (not even i have accomplished this feat) and your intentions concerning the soundtrack are very much accepted. i forgive you many times. but! let me just say, i strongly suggest you wait a year or 2 before reading invisible monsters because that book is really really intense and your mom will have my hide when she realizes this favorite author of mine has made his way into your literature too. PLEASE take my word for it (i feel partly responsible). Instead, read Atonement, the author of Enduring Love ... the book is absolutely amazing and is my current fave. Your mom would love it too! do this before your mom finds you reading invisible monsters and then kills me. hope to see you soon.. oh! and greetings from California!

ok, in response (hem hem)

1. yes, I have to agree. I am a master of life.
2. when God (in His divine mercy) created that angel we mortals calls Edward Norton, He totally outdid Himself.
3. okaaaay...sigh. I'll send Invisible Monsters back to the Library...though I really liked the first chapter (sniffle). but, who am I to question your judgement?
4. I read Atonement (okay, why is that more ok than invisible monsters? that sex scene in the library...i had to put it down for a full three days...shudder) and while i liked it very much indeed, Enduring Love pwns. oh, and Fight club pwns double time. oh snap. I am currently waiting for Lullabye from the Library.
5.Have tons of fun in California, and please explain your new signature...

i always knew you were beastly at reading (this is a compliment)... but if you FINISHED atonement then you are a MACHINE. i dont believe it. were you not crushed at the end??? did you really read. the whole. thing??? well if you did... then wow. and the sex scene? very tame, i thought! or else i wouldnt have reccomended it to you. hmm... did you pick up a dirty copy? geez. well im glad you returned invisible monsters (which is all ghastly subject matter) and lullaby is really good! i decided im sending you a letter since i have much, much more to tell you.


my signature derives from a quote by this intellectual named clive james who said that stupid, ignorant people dont like a can with 2 labels because it can never be given a label, can never be categorized or pinned down (therefore it FRUSTRATES the masses) so i liked it, and thought it very fitting. hence the sig.

Dear anna,
yes, it took me around a week to finish it (i had strepp throat and an awful lot of time on my hands) but i finished atonement...intense is not the right word. like i said before, i liked enduring love better, but that's just me. why haven't they made an atonement movie yet? and i was thrilled to find a character called Cecilia...i liked her. in the beginning Briony got on my last nerve (maybe cause she reminded me of myself a couple years ago) but i liked her when she was a nurse...i loved the part when she talks to the french soldier whose brain is all falling out...and i hated Lola. so...i shall discuss this further in my next letter. ok. im at Saara Anne's house and Im supposed to be doing a project...but she went to rite aid, so im taking a minute to reply. i love your signature now that i get it. luv ya babe.

kudos on atonement. id like to talk to you about it later. hopefully i see you before you start summer classes. and they ARE making a movie of it actually--with keira knightley as cecilia! whats even weirder is that i cast her in my head while i was reading the book!! craazy! the trailer looks awesome, its coming out in december--cant wait!!
