Yup. I don't post much here. I mostly try to advertise my blog through DA.

Man, just post it everywhere XD
Do you go to polycount.com? You'd get some good attention there too, I'll bet.

I simply don't post much because of some of the trends I see here on DA. They rather annoy me. My blog allows me to keep things professional. Eh, but maybe I should post more than I do.

I haven't gone to polycount yet.

Ah, I see what you mean, deviantart is the host of a lot of really tasteless and fadish crap, but I do find some of the best art here that I've ever found. The strength of deviantart is that it garners a lot of attention from people...
Well, if it's fanart you'll get a lot of attention. I see what you mean.

Polycount is great if you want to get into game art and development, they focus on the artistic side of things, from concept art, to modeling, to texturing and animation. Tons of professionals post their work, give heartfelt feedback, and genuinely care to see you improve. I'll say that I owe almost all of my artistic experience to the people on that site, it's really done me a lot of good.

There are some good refreshing artists out there on DA, but you have to sift through the dime a dozen "Dunning Krueger" artists. It's refreshing to see artists like you on here. Just wish there were more. Ah, well.

I may have to get a Polycount, but probably after I get Livestream up and running, and a few other things I'm working on.

Oh, I remember what the Dunning Kruger effect is now, I was scratching my head over that one. A lot of inflated egos prance around here, but they're easy enough to ignore (since they have little to show for it). There are tons of refreshing and amazing artists on DA, the best way to find them is to sift through an artist's favorites. If you like an artist, you'll know they probably have good tastes, so the art they favorite is a freaking gold mine. My inbox is a glorious face full of awesome every time I check it because of how much I stalk my idols.
Also, thank you!

No rush on polycount, you can get a lot out of it just from lurking. I have a sketchbook there, if you want to check it out. It's super long though, and you'll probably just want to skip to page two or something:

Sorry to confuse you for a minute. I picked that term up from Joe Olson this semester in class, and it kinda stuck. Yeah, I shouldn't let stupid people get to me. Besides, I think that this page needs an update anyway.

I've got a few idols I stalk as well. Most of them only have blogs, so when I open my dashboard every morning, there is usually a long list of awesomeness as well. They have really good tastes, but what really impresses me is how they portray those tastes. If they do fanart, which some of them do every once in a while, they do it in their own, classy way. Plus it's usually of stuff I dig so...

Again your sketchbook is awesome. I remember looking at this stuff in that huge binder you carried around. Nice stuff. I think you would get a ton of great info from taking a couple of classes from my professors. I know Anthony and Rodayne have probably sung you the pied piper song, but I think you would get a lot from classes with Joe Olson, Sam Nielson, and Ryan Woodward.

I have not been in an animation class with you. I've been in UVU's program for the last 3 years, so I'm in the upper division courses.

There's a good chance you have. I haven't been in the labs as much this semester because I've been out sketchcrawling, but I was in the labs quite a bit last Fall.
