So far Oregon is pretty nice, I can say without a doubt that I'll be out here for more than a few years. There are however a lack of tattoo artists with any significant skill. I hear many people go on and on about a place called Atlas tattoo. [link]
Seems decent enough, but thinking back to Chicago there are countless amounts of amazingly skillful artists who seem to stretch the boundaries by doing non-traditional work. Here though, that doesn't seem to be what's "in" and i have no idea why. There's a piece I'm looking to get done by using a painting Kloxboy done did, so I'm having a hard time finding suitable artists. So I might have to come back your way.

good to hear! i've heard some really cool things about oregon. unfortunately, i don't know of a whole lotta artists in oregon, but i do really like atlas tattoo's work as a whole -- i'm a huge fan of traditional/neo traditional, and this stuff is eye-poppingly beautiful and SO well done. i've love to get some work from any of these guys.
it sounds like this style's not really your thing, but i bet they'd be excellent to apprentice under. learn what you can for a couple years, then move on.
oooh, which painting of juno's do you plan on getting tatty-tatted? i wanna see his work translated into tattoos by a really badass artist. like nikko hurtado, maximo lutz, or shawn barber... i don't know if at this point i would be confident enough to tattoo something of juno's, but i am totally down for you swinging by this way!
business has been kinda slow, though just right now a walk-in came in and i gots some ink to sling. take it easy, mang!
