# About me
Find my personal webstore with completed drinking horns and more here www.CustomDrinkingHorns.comFind my business website, Urnes Ash Tree, here: urnesashtree.webs.com We sell handmade ritual items and jewelry
Recently my art has taken a turn for the tangible, as all the carving shows. It's a great feeling holding a completed work, reflecting on the care put in it and relishing the knowledge that it is both beautiful and functional.
My drinking horns may not be as ornate as some, as I love the clean look they offer without distraction. Each one is unique and has an important lesson behind it, be it craftsmanship, or spiritual. Every piece is carved with chisels because the finish is that much more satisfying.
I love working with almost all mediums I can get my hands on. This sometimes includes found objects and natural materials such as wood, stone, or naturally gathered bones and feathers. My heritage occasionally incorporates itself into my work, and I am proud of where I come from.
A special thank you to those who support me, because this gallery wouldn't be possible if you didn't somehow support (encourage!) my crazy ideas.
Foremost in my mind is integrity. I refuse to use natural materials in my work that have been gathered in a harmful manner (I define harmful as disrespectful to the animal or plant ie. making it suffer. This does not include respectful hunting or domestic fur farms). Most of my work contains no synthetic materials (there are a few instances where this is simply not possible). I refuse to use almost all power tools. This means commissions and other works take longer, but I feel the end result is worth it. Creating every item completely by hand insures it is unique and crafted with the greatest care. The only power tools I use are an iron for burning and a drill for making beads, and this is more for safety than anything. I also refuse to paint on my materials and view this as a cheap alternative to taking the time to carve somehting truly meaningful. You will never find painted skulls, bones, or hides in my gallery or for sale.
Quality and durability are ALWAYS more important than quantity or profit.

Hi good afternoon, how I do to buy your products? See, i'm very interested in a drinking horn "Runes" that I saw in your gallery. Could you tell me if can you deliver it to Brazil (South America)? If yes, how much it's shipping would cost me? My zipcode is 11015-450. Thank you very much.

Not terribly much; my mom and a few cousins have worked on family trees. I know what countries my family came from and am ok with that; my dad's family history is lost after my great-grandmother. :/

Hi there! Is the #Merchant-Directory group still accepting submissions and whatnot? Or is it dead? I haven't noticed any activity of late ^____^

It died from a busy summer, and I'm terribly sorry. With a new school year in tow and huge chunks of down time between classes, I'm hoping to resurrect it

I LOVE YOUR WORK! I plan on ordering a viking drinking horn from you this summer. I was looking for a way to express my viking heritage so I started searching for viking stuff. I found drinking horns that i thought were SO cool. And then I found your work and decided the price that I'd pay for a horn from you IS SO WORTH IT! Better than those other horns people make lol . CAN'T WAIT TIL SUMMER!
