# About me

I'm not entirely sure what to put here, but I assume like most of my writing, once I get started it'll be difficult for me to stop.
I consider myself to be a decent artist, at least with a pencil that is; I can't paint worth a penny, and don't even get me started on sculpting. However, no one can accurately judge their own skill, so who really cares?
I do live in a rather artistic town, which is lucky, so it's not rare to encounter other artists. However, while these encounters offer advice and new practices in my art, it also illuminates my lack of experience and, quite frankly, skill.
I appreciate literature and pretty much all forms of the arts. This is normally a good thing, but it makes it increasingly difficult for me to relate to people my own age, who rarely observe things in a way that I do. It's not really their fault honestly, I just have ridiculously high expectations from people.
Despite this though, I enjoy the company of other people. If they feel the same way is debatable.
Like I said, I appreciate the art, especially those that have a level of darkness to them. Not total darkness mind you, more like a lit room with a shadowed corner. A twinge of despair and hopelessness adds as a foil to the light and further illuminates it's glory. Not unlike salt on a watermelon. God that's delicious.
