Hey,
Yeah I have lived in the Falklands my whole life ^_^ Its a really great place with lots of untamed wilderness. Perfect for people who like wildlife and birds. Its not an easy place to get to though and not cheap either I'm afraid. I wouldn't suggest staying for more than a couple of weeks, you might get a bit bored if you stayed for longer, there are no clubs or discos or anything like that. The best time to come down would be between October and December since that is our summer time and when most tourists come down. You can arrange for locals to drive you to all the local landmarks and stuff, we're a friendly lot ^_~

Well, I don't care about discos or clubs. I'm a green person, I love "mother nature", you know? Haha. And I have a big passion for orcas, it's something surreal, since I was 4yo. (and look, I'm 17 now haha) but I'll just like to see them in wildlife. And, unfortunately, I live in Brazil, so I can't make my dream come true here.
Do you know if I can make a cultural exchange? For 6 months or something like that.
Not just because I love orcas, I think Falklands must be an awesome place, with an awesome culture.

Hi
Well the Falkland Islands are a great place for wildlife! We do have orcas as well but only at certain times of the year. Unfortunatly I don't know much about tourist travel to the Falklands or when it would be best to come down. I can ask my father if you like, he is an MLA (our version of an MP) and I'm sure he will know more than I do. Besides he can always a fellow MLA if he doesn't know himself. As for a cultural exchange I'm afraid I have no idea but again I can ask my dad if you like.
You are more than welcome! I love the Falklands and I'm more than willing to share the experiance with others ^_^ Just remember we are a British territory so don't expect our culture to be that different from British culture. We are our own people that is true, but the majority of us orginally came from England.
