i just post photographs of beautiful things that sometimes we usually don't really take notice of (: haha.currently taking architecture in NUS (will try to upload some photos of models & stuff)
photos are captured using kenny, my lovely canon 500D DSLR :>
please note that photos & drawings published are more of hobbies/development of required design modules in school than professional artworks.
although i hardly update my DA due to the busy schedule in school, do enjoy the moments that i captured through my camera :)

hey. i loved ur most recent photos! i was also wondering if u could give me any useful tips or advice. i was recently ask by a restaurant owner if i could take some photos of the food they serve there. i have taken a few food photos before, but they arent as great as urs. my most recent one i have taken was at the restaurant i will be working for and i will be posting it. but id love any tips or advice u could give someone starting in the field of photographing food. thank u.

i'm not really a pro food photographer, it's more of a hobby lol. but i can give you some tips that I usually take note of when I take pics of food.
- use macro settings/aperture priority so that you can take details of the food.
- set the aperture low. i usually use f3.5-f6 so that the food is the focus of the picture (the background is blurred cos of the low aperture)
- follow the grid lines so that the food looks more pleasing
- try fancy angles. take from the side of the plate and feature the background so that people can see the atmosphere of the restaurant
- note the lighting. if you feel that the lights are too yellow-ish, use the tungsten light for WB. or if the lights are too white (and you want to have the warmth in your pics) use shade as WB so that it'll be slightly yellow-ish.
that's all i guess. it applies to taking pictures of other objects too. there's no need to follow ALL the tips. try experimenting different angles and different settings so that you know what's good and what's not. from there you'll know what to do when you take pictures of food (before you gobble them up)
