Try using picasa for editing or photoshop, remember rule of thirds, you have very interesting compositions

hey,

thank you for your comment. a good tip is, when you look at the photos from others to ask yourself a question: "why do you like or dislike this picture" and the answer will help you to improve your work ...

best wishes from germany ...

thanks a lot!

tipps? hmm... i'm just a beginner.

sounds obvious, but one of the most important things is, to find the right places and the right perspective. the rest is just some technical knowledge.

Wow,Luke..... thanks for the nice words! Hey, I did stop by your site. I like those "x-ray" type pictures! They bring your eye to one particular "point of action" if you will. The same with your b&w photos (I need to do more of the, myself!) On the other side, my thought for "Fast Times" would be MAYBE a little bit too much grass in the foreground (Different photographers no doubt will tell you different things!) Your "Railway Bridge" while a great shot could possibly focus on one of the arches? After all is said and done, just my opinion...... Don't ever stop experimenting or get "stuck" shooting one subject! I only recently got out of strictly nature shots.... there is a HUGE world out there just waiting for us photographers! Thanks again and feel free to stop by anytime!

I do have to say, a lot of your work is very emotional. In a good way of course, I love Feeling the Moment - the colors are gorgeous.
Keep up the good work!

thanks for the comment.

i like your pictures.except this ones with the keys.
for me, there is no "emotional" part.. or nothing "special". its just boring, because the "OOOH NICE" effect is missing.

Couramours In reply to lukeprice [2008-12-06 05:20:52 +0000 UTC]

I'm from Vancouver, actually, but I'm at school in the U.S. Most of my pictures were taken while on vacation with my family in Bellingham, Washington.

I couldn't tell you were new to photography, I assumed you to be an old pro. Your photos are lovely as well. thank you for your kind comments and support, I truly appreciate them.

Couramours In reply to lukeprice [2008-12-06 20:09:35 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I love England! I went there on a school trip and fell in love with the country. I'm planning another trip this summer to do some historical research at Westminster Abbey. That's the good part about college, you can travel and they'll pay for it. It's some good compensation for the amount of work they pile on you.

lukeprice In reply to Couramours [2008-12-06 22:48:01 +0000 UTC]

ahh cool i dont live near where you visited but it has its good parts. i think all people really can find anywhere other than where they actually live i mean id do anything to visit the states. one day hopefully.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Couramours In reply to lukeprice [2008-12-10 04:44:37 +0000 UTC]

Very true! I think people love traveling just because it is a change in the environment, new scenery and the like. (Which of course is why so many photographers are travelers. They want to capture pieces of their surroundings and keep them forever, memoirs of their adventures, so to speak.)

I do hope you get to see the states some day. It's quite an experience.

And... A late "welcome to dA" for you! ^^

lukeprice In reply to TLeiros [2008-11-18 00:21:42 +0000 UTC]

basically you gotta use an enlarger in a darkroom and put stuff on the light sensitive paper then expose it to light for a few seconds the objects block the light look it up one of the main men for it was Man Ray

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TLeiros In reply to lukeprice [2008-11-18 00:25:12 +0000 UTC]

ah =]

Anyway, I don't have a darkroom... That's so sad... But... Great work! ^^
