Hello, I was wondering what type of program you use do your pixels. I've been wondering forever because I don't understand pixels and you seem o have a great hold of pixels in your artwork! Also, I think you are a great artist! I look forward to looking at your page everyday!

Waaaaaah thank you so much ;w; ♥ I'm going to try to answer as concisely as possible!
I'm definitely no expert, I've just been stalking a lot of tutorials and speedpaints (´゚∀゚`;)
When I used to pixel years ago I used Photoshop, but now I use SAI. The main reason for the switch is because I started using SAI for cleaner lineart (SAI makes lineart really nice and crisp~~) and I just sort of got attached hehe. You could use MS Paint or other simpler programs, but having layers just makes life a lot easier. You also can't get a transparent background in MS Paint! Playing around with SAI, I also found something called the "color mixer" which basically just makes color blending for palettes a lot easier. I also like taking advantage of settings like luminosity and shade. Definitely just play around with tools and see what works best for you! Also feel free to be inspired by other art mediums and don't be shy to use tools that others wouldn't consider the norm. I've seen people incorporate the airbrush tool into pixel artwork, even though many might say that's bad practice. ^^
For animation I use Photoshop, but I also used to use GIMP (which is free!).
If you have any other questions I might not know the answer but feel free to ask!
From one beginner to the next, good luck~~

Wow thank you so much! I will definitely look into those programs (especially GIMP because it's free) and I'm really inspired by that last line you said because it all starts with a beginning, huh? I have another question, do you use any sort of tool like a Wacom tablet, or do you use a mouse? Or a scanner? Or etc? I really appreciate the time your taking out to help me :3

Of course~! ^^
Yes! I just know how frustrating it can be as a beginner (especially because I still consider myself a beginner ;w; ) It can be really discouraging when you see amazing art and compare it to your own. To keep myself motivated, I like to look at the year-in-art or draw-it-again memes that people do. It helps me to remember that everyone has to start somewhere and that all of these amazing artists were once beginners just like you and I!
I use a wacom tablet to sketch as a guideline, but then I switch to using a mouse because I find it more precise for working with pixels. A tablet is easier for the sketching, but not necessary! Before I got a tablet I used to use a mouse for everything, including art that wasn't pixelated. It takes practice, but eventually I was better at drawing by mouse than I was by hand haha~ So never let a lack of tools limit you!

I will keep practicing and I look forward to seeing you in your art travel as well!

I'm not sure how much they're worth really. ;w;
I suppose it all depends on the specifics~
Something around $5-7?
