I always heard mixed feelings about Full Sail. About how it was a fake education with a bunch of rich kid spoiled punks. None of that is true. I had an amazing experience!

They will warn you about how many people will drop out who cant handle the work load, but if this is what you want to do, than you can do it 110%. If you do the accelerated course, you can get a bachelors in 2 years, or extended in 4 years. I did the 2 year program for computer animation and it was a very hard challenge. The only difference is if you take 2 classes a month or just 1. You will start off with some of the gen ed classes like math and english, but soon you will get to experience everything. That really is the best part. At Full Sail you can try out the entire pipeline from start to finish. In my case I went from concept art, to 2d animation, to modeling, to rigging, to lighting, to animation in 3d, to rendering, and so much more. You get to try everything instead of just choose a major from the start.

Find an awesome roommate, get a good alarm clock, and hang up a poster of a cat that says "Hang in there!" Haha! There will be classes at 1am, but that almost never happens more than once a year. Im not trying to scare you, but this school is, in a way, testing your love for this industry. You will work with professional equipment and people. Shawn Rinehart was my lighting hero! And you will have people who worked on many disney animations and video games or movies or songs depending which course you take. They also add classes constantly, and when technology upgrades in the next few years, you can go back and retake the updated class for free. There is something that made you decide you want to go to Full Sail, there was that one thing, that one game, that one show or movie that made you say, "This is what I want to do!!!!" What was that thing? Keep it close... oh and pack your lunch, Burger King is the only thing open at 1 am, and it gets ooooold! Feel free to ask me anything!
