It's all about lighting and camera settings. Use a manual control to set your shutter speed and aperture. Try and get the subjects evenly lit. And back away from them and zoom in, don't try and get up close, it'll make focusing harder and may distort the figure. Don't use a flash. If I can help any more, let me know!
