Some truly insperational stuff here. I've personaly always found Photo Realisum rather borring, bloody impresive, but still boring. You however have created realisum with that much more flair. I am wholy converted. Truly a wonderful gallery.

I completely understand what you mean about photorealism, it can leave you rather cold. When artwork is so flawless, you spend your whole time looking for flaws and seeing where it fails. If an artwork is 'loose' or slightly chaotic, the mind instantly wants to try and make sense of things and order it. A bit like trying to see things in cloud formations. Best, Morgan

Love your choice of characters to paint too..different than most. Not being an artist myself I love to see stage by stage stuff,explanations on your underpainting technique/colour choices make total sense. Beautiful stuff

I'm fascinated with portraiture... especially how you achieve the likenesses of the subjects. I wondered if you could tell me how much reliance is placed on photography when you undertake a portrait. Getting a good likeness is something I struggle with. I'm fishing for tips basically.

I was just wondering what you thought of contemporary art at the moment. I'm aware that right now, Contemporary art does not have a specific style that people are adhering to. However digital art is on the rise, and it could possibly just be this website, but I'm noticing three things in contemporary art.
Weird looking art, digital, and photo realism.
I suppose what I am asking is
"What is the biggest thing you have noticed in contemporary art, and what is it exactly that you think it brings to art?
I'm not asking for some super in depth answer, but I guess, I'm just trying to make heads or tails of what people are looking for in art right now.

Hi, I have noticed a big swing towards Art that shows genuine ability. I feel people are not influenced by student bullshit anymore, the Conceptual artists put pay to that. It is up to you to decide what you want to create, BUT, you have to step up to the plate and be better than the leaders in the field. No point otherwise. Best, Morgan
