As with all groups it is essential that you read the rules and familarise yourself with the folders, we are very strict with submissions going into the right place, and even stricter with regard to quality. I would like firstly to thank you for your availability ;D
My idea was about a single-shot anti-material rifle, heavily resembling the Afghan Jezail. It retains the jezail's long barrel and the short curved stock (like this one: 68.media.tumblr.com/205e4cdce4⦠), but it's made with modern materials and more advanced technologies. In order to improve the muzzle speed and decrease the drop of the bullet's speed over long ranges, the rifle feature a tapered bore as in the German sPzB 41 (reduced at rifle-size, of course). The barrel is covered on its entire lenght by a protective shell for the purpose of countering the tapered bore's high pressure. Aesthetically the weapon has a very long barrel, a short curved stock and it has a breech-loading mechanism similar to the one featured by the Springfield 1875 (upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia⦠) or by the Snyder conversion kit (oldbritishguns.com/images/stor⦠). Also jezail were also heavily engraved, and I was thinking about a two tone stock (black lacquered and red wood), complete with gold and mother of pearl inlaid. But I leave this to you.
For the caliber I was thinking about something as the 13x99 mm, as even the original jezails used to fire big bullets too.

I landed a big documentary job, so my movie got sent to the backburner for a while.
