Hey, I just heard in the news about the gator attack in orange. Hope you had a better 4th weekend than that guy.

I did by far, but then again I'm sure we all did. Wildlife authorities found the gator dead last week. It had been baited and killed and they're going to fine whoever did if they can find them. We have a local business that's raising money for the fine.

Good. Life is good. I have an awesome little girl now. She's 18 months. And she pretty much takes up my whole life outside of work. No time for art or finishing the basement project, but I don't mind much. What's new with you?

I'm OK Lea, thanks for asking. I was absent for a period too but recently came back to give one last try. DA was becoming too much like a "job" and I needed to get away partly because of that.

I know I'm late, but I don't frequent the community a whole lot lately. I hope your birthday's going well, and also that you're not as bored and devastated by this lockout the NHL's going through right now.

It's not looking good. Last Tuesday, the NHL offered a 50/50 revenue split--among other details--in hopes that they could start the regular season by the 2nd of November, and preserve the eighty-two game regular season; to which the players' association (NHLPA, since it's easier) offered three counter-offers, all of which were immediately rejected by the NHL and negotiations broke down after an hour.
Now, it doesn't look good at all after that air of optimism that surrounded the discussions for about two days. People were hopeful and excited, myself included, and now we're back at nothing.
So we'll see how it goes.
