No, actually. But I have a friend who lives up in the central vally area who always is a part of the parade. He says that sometimes, after they put the candy into childrens' pockets, they sneak by and steal it from naughty children right as they're trying to eat it. So they sorta act like santa in that reguard.
But Modesto isn't the only place that has those types of parades. It's just one of the few places in California that has it annually in the same place, and that announces the parade to people. Two years ago, actually, I was in the Diamond Bar Parade, which was the unannounced L.A. area parade, so it was pretty big. We started at the 57 and Diamond Bar blvd, made our way up to grand, turned right and followed grand all the way to Chino Hills Parkway, and then finished right before it hits the 71. I kinda like unannounced ones better, because then there are cars on the parade route, which is more fun.

wow, they have ninja parades in america? that is amazing, is it hard to be un noticed or is there a special way to do it? One of my friends asked me yesterday how to be invisible but the only advice i had was to not talk, walk silently and step aside for people. Not very effective i must say

Not being seen is all about misdirection and immitation. Most stage magicians start to understand the misdirection part of it; when you watch a magic show, they'll draw your attention away from what they're doing by grabbing your attention with something unimportant. Being unseen is very similar: it helps when you create something that misdirects their attention.
The immitation part is simply learning how to look like something natural from your surroundings, which is linked with not drawing attention. If you look like something they are expecting to see, they are less likely to notice you, especially if they're looking for something they're not expecting. So, if you combine misdirection - give them something to look at that isn't you - and immitation - look like something that they're already expecting to see - it's pretty easy to have them not see you, even if they're trying to see you.
Hope that helps. That's only the barest of overviews of the theory; all the training we go through is what teaches us the application.
