Yeah, it's win/win to do that. I'm never content to just say "I like this" - rather, really try to figure em out. (And have learned more by the practice than any technical background.)

What's cool is that it's benefit my own art massively. It's like every comment is taking notes in class, and everything learned really sinks in.

Of course, the downside is that it takes a while - I don't get to comment a tenth as much as I'd like. But the upside is that pieces commented really get the attention they deserve.

thank you sir. glad you liked "nicotine angel" (its not really based on anyone specific, as much as it was one of those throwaway doodles that ended up pretty acceptable)

sory you didnt like "Franz Kline and the ZEurasian Steppes" it actually took a while to do and I am 'content' with the results, albeit not ecstatic. That being said, you definately would not have liked the psychotic colourr sceme I started with (it looked like a bag of skittles caught in a nuclear explosion).

hey, i wouldnt say there are 'hundreds' speaking my praise (more like half-dozens) but I always appreciate the sentiment nonethelss...it always surprises me that people keep returning, as I have so many tangents that I follow stylistically and thematically that I always assume I will alienate pretty much everyone.

the signature style is new, and will probably be slightly altered for 2003, but maybe not. I just lik the idea of having the art balanced and 'framed' with the title as well as the 'sig'
