# About me
Hello! I'm from the USA and I love to take pictures. I've been learning photography since I was 12. I'm 20 now, and have improved (hopefully). I've been on this website for quite a while, and hope to upload my recent work. I've upgraded my camera from the Canon T3i to the Canon 5D Mark III and have a host of new techniques. Feel free to drop me a note anytime!# Comments

That's great! I'm doing okay Been a while since we talked!
Guess what! I'm learning web programming languages now!
I have XHTML, CSSΒ and JavaScript classes and I'm doing a bit of php and SQL on my own That's what you do too, right?

It has been a while!! Woahhh really?? That's so awesome.... You're already ahead of me I do, I would like to take a javascript class... I'm going to do web development on the side, not as my main money making thing Β I don't know any php or SQL... I just have experience with HTML, XHTML, and CSS... Β I have used a bit of javascript but it was those pre-done codes that I didn't really have to do much for How is it going?

Nittiyh In reply to petits-bonheurs [2014-01-22 15:00:44 +0000 UTC]
Well I can't do much with Javascript just yet, it's been quite hard to learn for me so far. I really want to get better though cause you can do so many cool things with it!
I see, what do you want to do for your main money making thing then? haha
I'm doing alright, thank you and yourself?

I'm so evil I'm so sorry!!!!!!! I've been so busy I haven't replied to like... anyone and then I went and forgot my password and was locked out of my account hahahaha
Javascript is really tricky!!!! I remember having the worst time trying to install a stupid calendar onto this basic HTML/CSS website for my final project last year. Β There are amazing things you can do... I should get back into web design. *sigh* It's just I have so much else going on... argh
I'm going to be teaching English soon! And then getting a part-time. Sometime down the road I want to teach people a foreign language like French or Japanese or something... I kind of already teach a few people what I know in Korean since they're struggling with things that I have down. So yeah. I like teaching ^_^
I'm doing well!!! Just crazyyy busy. Haha if you can't tell by this eternally late reply

You evil person you! hahaha that's okay, there are priorities in life I'm too busy myself to blame you for it!
That's amazing. Teachers are so precious, without them there would be nothing. Just dumb people, aha!
I'd really love to learn a few extra languages like Japanese and Portuguese, but I just can't fit that in my life for the moment.
In fact I really wish I could learn them all but I think my head would explode!
And in fact I think we might have discussed this before and I'm just repeating myself. That's what old age does to ya!
Really glad to know you're doing well even though you seem to be so crazy busy Aren't you a bit stressed out though, sometimes?

Lol!!! XD I'm glad you understand... I'll try super hard to be speedier with my replies from now on!!!
I loveeeee teaching, and I love when people APPRECIATE teachers!!! A lot of teachers go really unappreciated, so it's really nice when someone thinks teachers are awesome
You could easily at least learn to read basic Japanese... It's really easy, the kana can be memorized in a week. Then you will at least be able to read children's books out loud, even if you don't know what it means That's actually how I got started in learning Japanese... >.<Β
Β
Haha!!! I actually don't remember saying anything about that, but hey - I'm getting old too, maybe both of us are suffering from old age memory! XD
Yeah, I get stressed out after a while... But my aunt and uncle took me to Portland, Oregon for spring break, and that was exactly the break I needed. It was so stunning!!!!Β

Well you're off to a good start, that was pretty quick but don't worry too much, you've got better things to do
Well I certainly appreciate the profession and I appreciate good teachers a lot, but there's always one or two who I think should have gone another direction with their career haha
That sounds like a good place to start with Japanese, I'll give it a shot soon. ....... hopefully.
That's cool. I'm a tad jealous but hey, it's not so bad here in good old Belgium.
...
... Who am I kidding, I'll take two tickets to Portland please.

Haha!!! Thanks!! XD No no, I shouldn't be so rude, I need to reply faster.
HAHA I totally agree!!! There are some teachers who should've never become teachers. My Forensic Science teacher was really rude and not personable at all, she should've just worked as a trash collector or something. No social skills needed there.
You totally should!!! If you want, I can help you ^_^
LOL!!! Portland is amazing..... But Belgium sounds incredible. I really want to go there sometime.Β

Nittiyh In reply to petits-bonheurs [2014-04-14 22:16:01 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I can relate. Worst thing is I don't have very good social skills myself so I've had a few heated conversations with some (bad) teachers.
Well that was a few years ago actually. I've learned to keep quiet now, haha! But it's still kinda tough sometimes, I have a teacher this year who doesn't really want people to have different opinions than his. And let's just say he has a pretty big mouth. Haha.
But fortunately I have some amazing ones to compensate. My photography teacher is the best, he makes it all so interesting and you can feel he is passionnate about his lesson.
I'm sure you'll be a great teacher too!

petits-bonheurs In reply to Nittiyh [2014-04-15 05:43:32 +0000 UTC]
Ohh no!!! Haha!!! I have terrible social skills, but I'm really very shy and laid back, so I don't usually voice my opinions on much. Though I'm really glad there are people like you out there to actually confront the problems instead of just trying to make the best of it.... There would be no change at all if only shy, go-with-the-flow people were in this world
Ughhhh those teachers are the WORST. My science teacher (Biology AND Earth Science, the torture didn't end for two years) was literally the worst. She was always right, and she was also really creepy and nerdy - but not the good kind of nerdy, like the really creepy 40 year old anime freak that kind that lurks around the interwebs and cosplays. Yes that was my science teacher. And she was so opinionated and not very helpful and not nice and a really strict grader. And when you'd ask questions she either confused you more or didn't explain anything. Rahhhh so glad I'm done with her haha
Exactly, my two French teachers have been amazing, my creative writing teacher was amazing, my HTML teacher was great, my health teacher was fantastic too. I've had some amazing teachers, as well as some terrible ones. Oooooh the teachers that are really passionate truly are the best... Their lessons just really come to life, and they're just better teachers. I know I can't teach math - I hate math. But I love language, I can teach that easily. My language teachers are all *except one* amazing. Just amazing. So passionate. So helpful. So patient. So friendly. Ugh. If I can just have a shred of their teaching talent, I'll be so happy haha!!!
Haha! Thank you! I love teaching... It's just something I naturally gravitate towards, and I love watching people progress as I teach them. It's a great feeling!!!Β
You said you want to do web design and development as your main line of work? I'm sorry if I've asked this about twelve times - my memory is horrifying haha!!!

Nittiyh In reply to petits-bonheurs [2014-04-15 19:19:58 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, though I had to learn that sometimes it's not my job to have an opinion. That's been a tough pill to swallow for me but I'm getting there.
And that is absolutely correct! I'm studying graphic design at the moment and the biggest challenge I have come across so far is really just to stick 100% to what people ask of me.
I always get ideas, I have a pretty creative mind, and I always want to include them in the project I'm working on even if it doesn't totally fit with what I'm supposed to do.
That's an issue because the end product might be cool and all but if it's not what the client asked, I get no pay!
So in the end I'm just the guy who knows how to work the tools, I'm a technician, not an artist.
Of course I do have lessons on how to make good looking things, how to layout information on a document and stuff, but if someone wants me to make something that doesn't make sense to me even though I'm the one who's had the lessons, well I just have to do it.
But all that might change in the future!

petits-bonheurs In reply to Nittiyh [2014-04-17 04:14:58 +0000 UTC]
Haha!!! Well it's okay to have an opinion, but where the problem really lies is when to voice it and when to just keep your mouth shut. That seems to be the problem most people have, is finding that balance. I tend to be overly un-opinionated, which, lemme tell ya, really irritates my friends sometimes Oops I can't help that I'm super laid back, I legit don't care a lot of the time people ask for my opinion!! XD
That's so awesome!!! Oooh that is frustrating for designers. I remember having that same problem in my web design class, she wanted it an exact way and I was like ARGH NO! I wanted to choose this and that and argh. And then when clients butt in, adding their "input" when they really have no idea what they're doing... as;dlkfjas;dlkgj I couldn't handle that. Nope. Full creative control is what I need. So that's another reason I decided not to pursue web design as a career. This is a good representation of that whole client-designer power struggle  theoatmeal.com/comics/design_h⦠And I'm honestly sure your designs are better than what your client envisions anyway!
And speaking of good teachers... My best/favorite teacher just told me and my friend tonight that he's not gonna tutor anymore... so bye-bye best teacher ever (((Β

Oh wow, that comic sounds wayyyyy too familiar.
The trick would be to plan things very carefully with the client beforehand and then make them pay extra for any modifications they want to throw in, that'll make them think twice before asking for nonsense.
If someone wants to pay me to make a website using comic sans, well.. I won't put my name on it and I will feel very irritated, but I'll most likely do it. Money is money.
Putting it this way, it's true that it doesn't sound like much of a fun career hopefully it won't always be this way.
Aw that's too bad! Hopefully he gets replaced by another awesome one.

Ahh! Hi! Nothing much, just lots of school. French is OK, I'm not able to study every day since all my classes are finishing up and there's a boatload of work. But once summer starts, I'm going to do my very best to work on the concepts I struggle with and build on the ones I'm comfortable with! Hopefully I can progress a lot this summer when I'm relaxed. How are you doing?

Can't wait for summer
Got any big plans? Like travelling maybe?
