I think your last explanation was much better understood. You need to write your fanfic in the same concise and clear style as that!
In your last comment, I think we both may have gone overboard in terms of potential 'backlash'. (I mean as intelligent people, we can surmise fact from fiction, fantasy from reality, FPS from actually ..well you know..) It would have been interesting but I do not like to get fans roweled up when a well developed (and possibly loved) character is depicted on the extreme opposite end of the spectrum.
There is one saving grace in the explanation that I caught:
" ..but I did redeem her at the end of it."
So that tells all the world that you cared for that character enough to put it right again.
It's up to you on the request. "To be or not to be?" It's difficult for me because the topic (culture) is something a bit endearing. I mean 'Mio' would make for a very confused and maybe clumsy sith, lol! But your 'redemption' filters out all but the die hard screams...
I say don't give up writing fanfic. It's fun and flexes your imaginative muscles and could be entertaining to more than just a few people. Just be aware of the potential pitfalls and feelings.

there is one other kind of drawing I'd like to see, if your interested, I was going to put it in the forums after a couple of days, but if your interested here it is:
Jedi versions of the cast of Azumanga Daioh (except for Kimura and the animal characters)
that might make you quite popular on deviantart since you'll be taking some popular characters and turning them into a popular concept

Have to pass on this as well. Have no clue on this series, but you are def into Manga..
Bear in mind you still like to throw out (free) requests that encompass not one character, but FIVE (!).
Consider creating your own specific character or better yet, join an RPG game (dice. not video/PC) and play a few sessions so you can see how much work goes into creating a single, random persona... (you may actually enjoy it depending on the imagination of the gamemaster and even like your character!)
