Your profile is spot-on! I have been playing with inflatable clothing ideas for 30 years, from pvc inflatable thongs to complete suspension sleep sacks. I had some very rough tools to work with and wish I could buy an RF sealer so I could really create some awesome designs. You have gotten farther than I ever did, most likely because I simply had a lot of other things going on in my life. Perhaps we could work together and break this market wide open...

In the 80's pvc clothing was originally beachball material 'sewn' together, which promptly tore apart at the seams. Then came the cheap and thin laminated pvc on lycra/nylon/polyester that was also sewn together and sold at ridiculous prices. Then latex became a lot more popular because of its potential for shine and unlimited design. but latex has a few huge hurdles including allergies, durability, no way to automate the gluing of the joints and very high supply prices coupled with very high "labor" rates (except Asian suppliers).Β

PVC has a permanent shine and is far more durable than latex, costs less and can be automated. The one and only advantage latex has is the elasticity, and that is only for the thinner latex. PVC can be plenty elastic as well. Seems all PVC needs is a new reputation for not being dangerous health-wise, and a new generation of excellent designs. Have you heard of PVC-U-LIKE? It may be possible to join forces and marketing efforts to take on the latex industry and try to go mainstream again with far superior products.
