Having reread the poem again, I've decided to merely make a continuation on it from the perspective of either someone who read your poem first... or just from a guys point of view.

Do you know about the group #EliteLiterature ? They're looking for more members and asked their current members to invite people and I thought of you.
Full disclosure, yeah, there IS a contest for it, and whoever refers the most people to the group gets a 3-month membership, but if you want, you don't have to mention it was me who sent you. I still think you should join.
You can find out more here: [link]

I came across your poem "Wedding Ring" on the home page and I loved it so I was looking through your gallery and decided to watch you. I hope that didn't sound creepy. I just like your writing style and your perspective. I am also very impressed with your 100 Theme Challenge poems. I want to do that just to see if I can, and seeing that someone else already succeeded has inspired me to give it my best shot. Anyway, just explaining myself so you wouldn't wonder why some random person decided to watch you, lol.

I am in no way "creeped" by having you watch me. To tell you the truth, I only know a fraction of my watchers. I'm very pleased that you chose to follow my work but will warn you---not all of it is of the finest quality. I try to admit it when it isn't, but feel free to point it out for me.
I did the 100 themes in order, so they're not all gemstones either...if you'd like any help, I'd be happy to give it. One of the things that I did that was helpful for me was copying the list into a word document and looking through it while thinking of a way to interpret each theme before I began...I didn't have a topic for all of them in one go, of course, but it helped to go look at it in its entirety a few times and place a thought next to each theme that I eventually used or not. I'm not saying you have to do it that way, but it helped me. Trying to find the most unique way to express the theme--or if I couldn't, trying to write it in a fixed form I had never tried--is what gave me the determination to finish them.
I'd love to follow your progress, and thanks so much for the watch. I hope not to disappoint!

we found out what was wrong. It is an artery that's dislocated near his brain. he decided to not fix this problem, as the results could be worse than the situation right now. so, he's out of the hospital. I'm happy that everything will be back to normal.

Excuse me but I was merely looking on this talented persons page when I saw your comment and I thought I might enlighten you on a few points.
As you're not on rainonwednesday's watch list, I suspect you are in fact a stranger. If I am incorrect and you know each other, then please neglect my words and please don't take offence.
It's awfully rude to go on someones page, ask them to do you a favour and then ask them to like your work.
I mean, really, really bad manners.
Why don't you fix your own grammar and hope like the rest of us that our work is good enough to get a few hits WITHOUT asking people to view it!
Now, if you were looking for a critque I wouldn't be so anal but that's not what you want.
Of course I in no way control or know rainonwednesday's opinion but I for one am sick of seeing this happen on deviantart. It isn't what it's about. You effectively want to take advantage of someons good will for your own purposes. You don't advertise to strangers and then ask them to fix your mistakes.

Thank you so much, again, for the in-depth critique. You really are a miracle worker for helping us aspiring artists avoid complacency with the mediocre.
Can't wait to check out your gallery in the near future as i'm only a few tests away from a free week; what better way to spend a week than admiring amazing literature right?

Ah, amazing literature...if you want that, don't go through my gallery--there is as much rotten as there is gold...or maybe even more rotten. I post everything I write, and believe me it's not all worth posting.

Well, ov course one must sift through a lot to find some nuggets of gold, but i find that it is the unrealized masterpieces that are some of the most fun to find.
That being said, i'll definitely take a look at these, and i'll get to your gallery a little later.

Carmalain7 In reply to rainonwednesday [2011-04-14 02:54:11 +0000 UTC]
Up to you there, but in my opinion, as long as you conveyed a feeling or emotion through a piece; it's worth keeping around. Some of my more "angsty" pieces i wrote years ago i see as being so generic and cliche now, but they still hold emotional value you know. Course, i know you'll make the right decision.
