When I start working . . . . .
I get thoroughly involved in the process.
(. . . . AND - music too is very much involved.)
It is an impulse . . .
and dedication to what is being created . . .
or discovered,
and it is a practice in which, after a certain stage, I find myself tuned to the process, it is as if I am in vibe with the canvas, engaged in subtle conversation with what I am working on. There are predictable patterns, unexpected developments, and aesthetic motivations which get applied to the creation.
