Thanks for all the comments! I'm glad you like the new stuff. It was stacking up over the past month or two, I get bored at work sometimes.

Yeah, I know that feeling. I've actually written some good music when bored at work. Software engineer. Used to be a very creative profession, but it's gone all boring and stale. Probably why I spend time trying to escape into music and poetry...

Thanks The funny thing is, that pic took me maybe an hour and it's just a stupid pencil on printer paper. The others were days long with all kinds of art tools and are all poster sized lol. Maybe I'll have to do more like that one, it's all I have time for anymore.

Heh. Well, that's often the way. We all know that art isn't about the tools or the medium. I often have the same experience writing music. I can spend days on a piece fiddling endlessly with all my sample libraries and adjusting the harmonies and get nowhere. Then another time I sit down at the piano and just play, and something near-perfect comes out.
Please do more!

Wahey!
Welcome to dA, I hope you're going to enjoy your time here. At first, everything seems to be a bit confusing but once you get the hang of it it's just a great way to find new art, get inspired and get feedback.
Stop by my page if you feel like it,
Sandra

Hi Sandra, thanks for your message. I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment. I've been viewing works on DA for some time, and I'm not entirely sure why I've got an account. I don't see myself as an artist, although I do write poetry and prose, and play music. I just felt for some reason that I wanted to be part of this thing. Perhaps I'll post one or two of my better photos or something. I feel a bit self-conscious, to be honest!
I'm going away for 4 days, so won't have time to set up my account properly yet, but thanks for writing. Type to you later.

Welll, there are loads of people who are just "Art Appreciators" but don't upload any of their own work but fave and comment mostly. But there's a poetry and prose section here anyway, so I hope you'll upload some of your work anyway. What kind of music do you make?

reddragoneagle In reply to Staged [2006-05-19 12:10:46 +0000 UTC]
Hi again! I shall probably use the poetry section for occasional haiku and free verse, as I think that will go down well here. My poems are usually more structured and longer, but I already post them elsewhere.
I play keyboards in a soul band at the moment, but have played all kinds of stuff from prog rock to Latin jazz...
And I do have a couple of photos that aren't too bad, maybe I'll post them!
Thanks for the encouragement
