# About me
I currently have my AS in Computer Drafting & Design from ITT Technical Institute.In November of 2011, I'd come to my ropes end with my latest job in the Civil Engineering as a CAD Technician. I never felt appreciated and I was told [indirectly] that I didn't matter, all mixed with a poor upper management staff.
With that, I contacted the Art Institutes of Colorado interested in either Graphic Design and/or Web Design. I chose Web.
I started classes in January of 2012 and have been loving it ever since. I'm in 4th quarter and have aced every single class. That's something I've never experienced before and it feels pretty good!
I ended up getting laid off in July 2012. The main reason why they let me go is because I had "plateaued." I can't argue that. Plateaued was an understatement. I mentally "checked out."
However, I was recently hired by a respected Electrical/Mechanical Engineering firm working as an Electrical CAD Technician. It's probably the best job I've ever had and the people are great.
I'm continuing schooling until I graduate (which is undetermined at this time) and eventually plan on starting my own Web Design company.
