# About me
Rodolfo Páez Stahl starts his basic and high school at The Mackay School, (Reñaca) in Viña del Mar, Chile.Made studies in Photography in USA, at Brooks Institute School of Fine Art & Science, from 1981 through 1985, improving in Photography of Products and Photography of Fashion. He graduates as Associate Degree in Fine Art Photography.
He has mostly performed as Independent Advertising Photographer, besides being teacher in the Universidad Santo Tomas (Santiago-Chile), working in the most outstanding publicity agencies in Santiago de Chile and some others abroad. Also as a video maker production compamny.
During the decade of the 80’s, he founded RPS Studio, in which presently he performs as successful Photographer in Chilean market, training many photographers as assistants. In 1987 he starts giving photography courses and seminars.
In 1990 he is invited to take part of the “Asociación Gremial de Fotógrafos Publicitarios de Chile, FOTOP”. In 1998 is invited by the “Asociación Venezolana de la Fotografía, AVECOFA”, to be jury in the “VII Concurso de Fotografía Amateur y VII Concurso de Fotografía Profesional de la VII Convención Nacional de Fotografía”, performed in Caracas, Venezuela, where, in addition, he delivered a conference on “FASHION”.
Rodolfo Páez Stahl executes a work using both, the analog and digital photography, which is characterized for high contrasts and richness of details in dark zones, together with a clearance in clearness of the light.
He was one of the first photographers in Chile who decided to make the change to a digital stage, starting with hybrid techniques, then after giving rise to a completely digital stage. Now with 18 years of experience in digital post-production and retouch
