guess what i learned today?

the term "OK" comes from Martin van Buren's nickname, "Old Kinderhook."
he was born and raised in Kinderhook, NY and the name just kind of stuck. he was said to have such authority that a person need only "the word from O.K." to do something.
which then turned into something similar to "i need your John Hancock."
