Hey man, happy birthday! I don't usually check whose birthday it is on DA anymore but I was lucky to see yours today. I ain't good with birthday wishes but I hope you have a great day, or, if you got classes or work, hope it's not too bad at least. And I hope you'll post more works here when you have time. I'd really be looking forward for more DEG stuff. A glass of wine in your honor! Have a great day!

Hello, my friend! So lucky I am, thank you so much It's nice to hear from you after all this time. Trust me, you're good with wishes  Oh, the day was great. I took the day off, so I could enjoy it, perfect!
I will, I promise! Just waiting for my creative depression, I can not do anything without it
I watch your work and I see you're making success. So proud of you!  You make me wanna work!

And by the way, when you get the motivation, the time, whatever, if you ever wanna do a collab or something again maybe we can work something out, maybe I do the inks and you do the colors or the shadows if it's black and white, or we do it like last time, whatever. Never had many chances or intentions to collab with people but working with you was a pleasure.

I do wanna work with you! It was so exiting experience, I enjoyed it very much, so of course I wanna do it again  Because of my study (yes, I entered the university again..) there will be no right time, so we can start as soon as we get the idea. Do you want to work on DEG? Or we can pick something else, if you want. Last time we used my idea, so now I suggest you to make it. I am totally open for any way of drawing. But I can offer only traditional style, you know. By the way! I'm so happy to receive some new tools, so I'd gladly use them in our work
Thank you so much for your message. I'd never dare to ask you to collab again, never wanted to force you anyhow. Just want you to know I'm glad

Again? As in, you're in a different University now?

Sure, if DEG is fine by you, anyway. Last time our visions clicked pretty damn well so I figured it would be a good idea. I don't really have a particular thing in mind at the moment, just really vague, scattered ideas in my head. More importantly though, would you be in a hurry for us to start working on this? I'm a bit torn at this point between a project, a contest and the easter holiday which is in a few days (I'll be going back to my home city and spending quite some time with my friends there), but I think after this I could give you some idea so we can discuss it. Just tell me how soon you'd prefer that to be.

And please please, don't sweat it. I'm not the most approachable person but I don't try to keep people away by any means. Any question you wanna ask me, just shoot. I don't bite or anything.

That's right. Different one. I desided that if I have some free time, why not to do something useful. So here it is, another profession. It's damn difficult, but I keep on going.

DEG is fine. Let's see what else we can do with them There's no rush, take your time, enjoy these short Easter holydays and then we'll decide what and how it should be)

Oh, cool! You'll probably have a relatively easy time finding a job afterwards, then? Easier than me, anyway. Or rather, finding a job wouldn't be as hard for me. But one that's well-paid and that I could keep for more than 2-3 years, that'd be more difficult. XD

Well, yes. Now with diploma I'm going to get finding a nice job won't be a problem.
I never worked more than 2 years in one place  I like changes, in a good way, of course)

Ah, that's not so cool. But hey, a lot of people enter colleges they think they like and then they realize it's not what they expected. Mine isn't the way I thought it would be, but I'm handling it okay,
Well, good thing you worked at least.. I never worked a day in my life This summer's gonna be the first time I'll be looking for a job and it's pretty scary, I hope I'm not gonna make an idiot out of myself out there. Hope it's gonna go alright but who knows, right?

Don't worry about anything) I'm sure you'll do it right. No matter what you do, just be yourself. This is the key
Another question is will be a job you find good enough for you?)
What kind of job should it be? Something creative?)

At the moment I don't have any high expectations from it because it'll only be from July (hopefully) till the end of September because then I'm gonna start school again and my college schedule is too fucked up and messy for me to even work part-time.
And no, nothing creative. With foreign languages, the easiest place to start would be a call center where I could make use of my English. And later on when I'm able to work full time and have more experience.. I don't know. I guess I'll see

It's better to look for a work in place where you can both gain money and have fun and just spend a good time with good people. As for me) Because I can not work for a long time keeping a serious face and making no jokes, it's boring.. When I only started my "career" I had amazing boss. She was awesome, she really was! I remember once we got drunk on her birthday and she left me in the office for the night. With salary and cake, I was such a happy person!) We almays remember such small, but very important things, don't we? No matter how stupid they can be.

R3dFangz In reply to ryuta-ro [2018-04-03 20:42:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I got no doubt about that, but I rarely hear such happy stories from people who get new jobs. Not that they never happen, 'cause it did to you, but they happen pretty rarely from what I've heard around is all I'm saying. And frankly, I could get a job as a translator for, say, articles, small novels, that kind of stuff, which would be more fun to me, but would pay badly. So when I finish college I'm gonna be content with a repetitive office job as long as I know I don't have anymore homework or have to study when I get home and I can go about my hobbies however I like. Not a dream job or anything, but I don't think I ever expected to have one. A good job that pays enough so I don't always have to refrain from going shopping every now and then and that leaves me enough time for myself is good enough for me.

I believe you can find something good and pleasant this summer   And I'm going to have a good rest in my vacation, 'cause last year I had no rest at all.. I'm going to escape from all of the city rush and hide myself far-far away from it at the village. I dream of it since very September) But now I have so many things to do, so much work to finish.. It feels strange but the much time I have the less I use  I hope this summer will be a lucky exception)
By the way, talking about a dream job, what would it be?

R3dFangz In reply to ryuta-ro [2018-04-06 15:18:55 +0000 UTC]

Hope you have a good time then!
For me, there's no dream job in general, I can't really wrap my head around the idea of a job that's perfect. No matter how much I like doing something, if someone tells me I HAVE to do it then I lose my motivation really quickly. So there's no such thing for me, just jobs that are more or less balanced when it comes to all the aspects like free time, difficulty, stress, salary, that kind of stuff.

Holydays are over and I'm ready for work! This week is going to be filled with study but I thinl I can find some time to discuss if you have any ideas   But if you want to have some more rest it's ok too, I do not insist. Just want you to know I feel like creating something strong and beautiful!
How was your Easter? Have you done all that stuff you wanted to do?

Oh, right, sorry! Good thing you reminded me, so so sorry!
I had a midterm exam today, been a bit tired lately and I wasn't in a very good place this holiday. Hurt my productivity real bad but look, I'm gonna start looking for ideas right now and tonight or tomorrow I should be able to send you something.
Real glad you're motivated now, that's super good! I haven't got around to continuing any of my own work since we last talked but this should help me break through and get back on track. Not gonna slack this time, so don't worry!

How about you though? You all good? I see you came back with full batteries, you seem really energetic

How was your exam? I will take mine in May. Still have some job to do, but I know how to deal with it)

Yeah, just take your time, you'll come up with something cool afterwards.
And thank you so, so much. Not just the fact that others can see my progress, but also that I can influence at least one person to maybe want to work more just makes my day. DA used to be so frequented back in the day, now the community is more like a ghost town. People don't interact with each other or try to motivate each other anymore. So it's hard to make it feel like an actual community. Which is why it makes me feel all the better.

Oh, I'm good at taking time) To be honest, I run out of ideas or something. Kyo-san and DEG used to be my inspiration for years, but after changing their style I desided to give 'em a rest and wait for the better times. I loved that neurotic period of Kyo-san anyways, so I'm not even sure something can be better in future. Ville Valo is my muse, but  after visiting HIM's last concert in Moscow I have a very strange feeling like nothing ever can embody that beauty. I can say that now I'm inspires of Jackson Pollock's works, so maybe you can see something alike some day.
And what inspires you? As far as I remember we never discussed that) It's very very interesting for me.

R3dFangz In reply to ryuta-ro [2018-03-30 22:49:52 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, kinda sad, isn't it? When something or someone inspires you and they kinda change over time? I mean, you still know what they used to be like in the past but something just ain't the same, that's the way it feels for me.
Me, I think everything in my life inspires me. I try to keep my eyes and mind open for whatever I see around me, whatever happens to me that might inspire me to create stuff. And I don't only draw serious things, I do comics and stuff too so I don't feel particularly constrained to get my inspiration from one certain thing. Songs that tell me a story inspire me, movies inspire me, meeting up with friends for drinks, the metro, people I see throughout the day, college life, Bucharest, the friends I got back home, shows, random videos I see on YouTube, all of them inspire me in some way.
Sure, I get inspired by some things more than by others, that's only natural. One of the problems I have though is that I always get bored and by the time I wanna put an idea into practice, I'm already in the mood for something else. So I guess it's good that I don't only express myself through drawings. I write sometimes, and sometimes I make videos, fan videos, stuff like that. I think it's important to have one or two creative outlets for when you get bored of doing what you always do.

I see. What works for you, may not work for me. I'm more introverted in this field. Maybe it happens because I prefer portraits and people, I don't know. But there always should be someone great to make me want to draw. That's why I often hate my own style, it's limited. And what upsets me the most is that I can not change it. While drawing portrait for only portrait it feels strange, because it's always the same. That's why I loved our collab so much!) Not only because of that, of course. But I need that to get out of comfort zone. I think it may be the same for you? Like a breath of fresh air.

R3dFangz In reply to ryuta-ro [2018-03-31 13:25:33 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, my drawings all have different themes to them but I can't really bring myself to draw something without at least one person or character in it. I do try to work on my backgrounds and stuff but I don't like do draw just landscapes with no people.
And I know it's hard to get out of your comfort zone, and yeah, in a way this is some sort of way to do that a little. But generally speaking, whenever I pushed the envelope a little and challenged myself to start drawing things I didn't like or want to, it was because I have a really strong wish to draw everything, just everything I like. And like I said before with the things that inspire me, there's a lot of things I want to draw. So the desire to do this kinda outweighs my laziness or wish to stay in my comfort zone. I really wanna get better so I can draw more and better and I know if I don't push my limits constantly, I'll never get there, and that's way worse for me than getting angry over trying something over and over until it comes out right. You learn from your mistakes anyway. And so, you want to make those mistakes as soon as possible so you can learn from them as soon as possible.
