I was cast ashore in this land of fallen angels in the year of the Great Fire of London. Before then I wandered the duchies and kingdoms of Europe looking for sanctuary and for succour. In my wretched life before I was turned, I had always known suspicion, intolerance, ignorance, hatred and fear... Although I was not born a vampire... In many ways I empathised with this seemingly cursed breed... Until one evening in a tavern in the east end of England's capital and I caught the eye and the attention of my sire...
