# About me

I am somewhat of the avant-garde abstract expressionism artist, I believe true art comes and spontaneous free association in the raw and unedited. I was always inspired by the beat generation writer's. There take on spiritual insight and use psychoactive substance to enhance creative elements you captivated me. I was born in Lake Charles Louisiana and realized from a young age my views were different from the average domesticated beings of my area, I questioned everything went against popular culture and explored every possible avenue. I originally pursued music as medium for expressing creative expression, forming a band called (strange loop) after the book I am a strange loop by Douglas Hofstadter. We experimented with psychedelic sounds and substance in order to achieve a I sound not unlike that of the 60's psychedelia bands. A failed attempt because of individual bickering in the group(ego). I then decided I be better off working as an individual artist in some form or another. I always loved the artwork by minimalist abstract expressionist artist of the day even in music. The sounds of The Velvet Underground with their condensed cut to the core nature coupled with the avant garde lighting and projections being branded as they performed as to was with the warlocks and the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. I never took an initiative in painting until I stopped playing with group, even though I was always well versed on the arts. Kazhmir Malevich Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Piet Mondriam were my first taste of abstract expressionism. I remember thinking as a child that I could do that/anyone can. Later I came to understand the meaning and beauty behind the symbolic nature of the art. Long story short( even though I went a little sideways on this) I continued painting in Lake Charles trying to progress in style and mannerisms.
I recently moved to Abingdon Virginia to hopefully grow as a artist.
