You can not pass judgement on me, for you do not know me. Please re frame from making presumptions until you are actually face to face with that kind of person, not a computer screen. You cannot see how I see things, you do not feel as I feel things. How can you possible know what kind of person I am if you don't take the time to know me face-to-face. I was bullied in school for being an animal lover and a hunter, saying I can't be both. Well I can, and I am. My heart has broke many times from the sight of animals being mis-treated in any form. I have taken care of more animals than I can count whether it be domestic or wild.Β
You say hunters are a problem? it was the national conservationist (aka hunters) who saved the wild life animals such as the white tail deer from being wiped off the earth, when they banned together to create the hunting seasons. So that hunters could not hunt out side the seasons so that white tails could come back, and they have. Their population is far larger than its ever been in history (and we need hunters to control the high population before problem get out of hand. Like, car crashes, shortage of food, and diseases like blue tongue), thanks to the national conservationists (aka hunters, countrymen)I have learned so much from the conservationist and how they taught me to be a part of wild life/ environment and protect it. And I prefer to hunt vs. going to the store to buy meat that someone else had to prepare for me. I would rather handle this beautiful creature with my own hands, because I know I will do it right or not at all. You may not see eye to eye with me, and thats okay. You didn't grow up in this life, I did.
Yes, the fact that meat factors need to 'extremely' improve how they handle their cattle with more dignity for the animal (and other consumed animals such as chicken, pigs, etc.) It needs tones of work on it. But don't blame me for how they treat them. I am just as disgusted as you are on the subject. I was just having a discussion on how humans are omnivorous, not vegetarians. If we were vegetarians, wouldn't we have the instincts like a horse, deer, or cow and be drawn to chew on grass/plants only and be completely incapable of consuming or our mouths watering at the scent of meat? But we do.Β
When you boil down to it, humans are omnivorous. We are allowed to eat both meat and plants or one or the other. Its our choice. You should not bash people for their choice in what they eat. But it is important on how we treat our animals. I live out in the country where everything is free range. At least these farm animals get to live their days in a peaceful place full of fresh air, space, and grass before they go (vs. a factor). As for me being a hunter, I hunt to eat and to provide for my family, nothing more. And I grow/buy and consume twice as much vegetation than I eat meat. So I for one, have a well balanced lifestyle.Β
What I've told you probably wont matter. You'll still probably hate all that I say. But I hold no hate towards you, I only wish people could take the time to understand our differences. We need that in this world.

Yeah I saw that yesterday or a couple of days ago. Thanks for the dA watch!!!!! Today (the 22nd) is my second day of junior year, and it's going pretty good so far. I like most of my classes as far as I can tell. We got MacBook Air laptops starting this year, and sometimes they're slow because so many people are using them at the same time and some parts of the school have WiFi and other parts don't, but we're all (including the staff) learning to go with it. It's fun to see all the new freshman and I know a few people who were freshman last year, and now they are sophomores; that's great to see. I would say this year people in my grade are starting to actually mature (or at least more than they did last year). When they say junior year is probably the toughest year of high school, they are not kidding around. This year, I have 3 AP classes which is more than I've had in the previous years combined. AP Psych, AP English Lit and Comp, and AP European History! But, I'll manage somehow. I have a strange feeling I'll be drinking a lot more coffee and cherry cokes this year than I did last year.
