Do you have any advice for someone wanting to make their own beautiful Skyrim pictures?

Hey,
Well most importantly, you need a good computer with some good hardware. What are your specs?
Are you able to run Skyrim at or about 60 fps?

I usually run skyrim at that speed or faster (100-120 fps) on highest graphics, and its already been pretty modded. 8 GB ram, 3.9 GHz six core processor, NVIDIA geforce 660 graphics card. I'm pretty sure my computer can handle most whatever, I just don't really know what to do to the game beyond what I've done (see examples in my art submissions).

Ok so you have a decent graphics card which can run vanilla Skyrim pretty fast and efficient, however, there are some sacrifices that have to be made....
It all boils down to VRAM and I will touch on this in a bit...
I use a filter preset called ENB. (Google ENB) In a nutshell, it greatly enhances hue, saturation, color and etc of the game. You can even add effects such as film grain, vignette and other cool cinematic effects. There are all kinds of ENBs and you can find a shit ton on the Nexus Forums. Be warned that using ENB greatly reduces your FPS. I went from a solid 120 FPS down to 18-35 FPS depending on the screen load. So you may experience slowness and increased loading times but I've already gotten used to it.Β
If you need help installing ENB let me know...
Also, do NOT use Steam screen capture. Use a program called FRAPS. It's free and stores your images in a separate folder in PNG format.Β
VRAM is very important. If your card only has 1 GB, you WILL have problems playing a smooth game. If your at 2 GB its barely enough (I have 2 GB). You will expereince lag and slowness when there is a lot to draw in the game. If you have 3 GB of VRAM, you should be OK. Also the number of mods that affects the graphics will effect ENB. Try not to have too many mods that overhaul the graphics. Those textures eat up RAM like no one's business!
Hope this helps mate.
