i have wanted a spine tattoo down my spine for years. i once found picture of an awesome spine tattoo. i have kept it for a long time (not to copy, but as inspiration for the amazing detail and idea of it).
Nice to finally meet the owner.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

sovegna-vos In reply to fmoth [2006-09-25 19:37:37 +0000 UTC]

Wow! I'm terribly flattered. A lot of the credit goes to my tattoo artist, though...he sketched out the spine from an anatomy textbook, so the detail is totally his doing. It was done in one 5-6 hour session...I thought I was going to die.

I'm not one of those people who are possessive about their tattoos, so don't worry if yours ends up being similar. But a word of advice...if yours ends up using circles too, be sure you print them out on a computer to get the proportions right, and have the artist trace them onto your back. No matter how good an artist is, it's nearly impossible to freehand a circle.

sovegna-vos In reply to Adoniram [2005-12-16 11:27:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh, the dumb blind one? That's my cat in America. My aunt is caring for him right now. He was a rescued kitten and when he was found he had an awful eye infection that somehow got to his brain, so he only has one eye and he's not very quick on the uptake. It's both sad and adorable to watch him try to make leaps with no depth perception.

I have two cats in China. They still come and go, but since I started leaving them food, they've become regular fixtures in my apartment.

Adoniram In reply to sovegna-vos [2005-12-16 13:00:46 +0000 UTC]

I always have loved "special" animals... when a species perpetuates the life of a creature that could not survive without the support of others, I think that is beautiful. It's managing to overcome natural selection in what should be the evolution of makind: compassion.

I had wondered what had happened to the random cat that appeared in your apartment in China though.

Plus, you're in china. I can't fault you for a spelling error in a country where you can hit the same key three times in a row and end up with three distinctly different words~ haha!

sovegna-vos In reply to Adoniram [2005-12-16 17:00:09 +0000 UTC]

Oh, trust me. Everything on my computer (including the OS) is in Chinese. I had to download PDFs to remind me how to use the photoshop menus.

But honestly, I spell Schrodinger both ways. Those umlauts are a bitch to translate. Of course, that's even assuming I spelled umlaut correctly. I'll just go hide now. Don't mind me.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

sovegna-vos In reply to Adoniram [2005-12-16 17:04:12 +0000 UTC]

Oh, they fight. For the first few weeks, I was terrified because of all of the thudding and movement. I assumed that someone had entered my apartment (no locks out here), so when I found the cats, I was endlessly relieved.

I'm not going to worry about it until I wake up to philosophical debate. I already have an idea of how it would go, and the idea is painful enough when it's limited to the space inside my skull.

I also happened to be your 3,500th pageview, for what that's worth.
