Thanks Cap! (If I can call you that, ha?) This place seems like a nice way to give me a metaphorical kick in the pants to produce more artwork  
I've been wondering how to, how say..? Connect with more artists? Join groups?

There's a tool bar to your upper left where you can search for groups or head to the forums...

In the forums, you'll find many categories. You'll see a couple there called "Deviation Thumbshare" You can post thumbnails of your works in there.
Also, when you look at other artist's pages, some may have a box there with the groups they belong to listed there.
Individual pieces of art will also have a listing of which groups those are in to the right hand side. (if they are in any groups)

I don't belong to any animal groups, but here's a few groups that I belong to to get you started…

If you do a search for groups, you'll find ones for animals and ones for all kinds of art.
Try to join the ones that have more members.
