This is a pretty rude thing of you to say. I put a lot of time, effort, and love into my work (not just my screenshots, but my illustrations on my other account as well that frequently are Star Trek and Discovery themed), and for all of that time, effort, and love to be dismissed simply because you disagree with the subject matter is incredibly disrespectful and, frankly, not very reflective of Star Trek values. That's not very Trekkie of you.
I encourage you to at least give the show a chance. There's a lot of misinformation and exaggeration out there, and if what you say about never watching it is true, how do you know that you hate it? How will you ever know that you truly, honestly, hate every bit of it? One of the most important lessons that I learned from Star Trek was to discover the truth for myself and to not settle for the truths of others. By buying into what others tell us about something we've not experienced, both positively and negatively, we are living their truths, not our own. You telling me that you've never watched the show, yet you say that you hate it/consider it a joke and a disgrace, tells me that you are not telling your own truth. You're telling me the opinions of people you've chosen to listen to, not your own. Take peoples' opinions about the show with a grain of salt. Approach it with an open mind.
You're not required to like the show. At all. But just as a general pro tip... don't go around saying you hate something that you've only ever heard about.

Paramount has nothing to do with Discovery, do some basic research before spouting that nonsense.

Michael isn't a Captain. Giving woman male names or nicknames is something Bryan Fuller has done on a few of his shows, and there are woman out there in the real world with typically male names.

It's on cable TV in Canada, and it's on CBS All Access because CBS wanted something to push their service.

If you actually watched Discovery you'd see that you're absolutely wrong about everything you've just said.
