You diss socialism, but do not know what it is. I live in the richest country in the world. A social democracy. Yes, a socialist nation.
Through socialism, we have free healthcare and education, we induct the poor and homeless back into the working society insted of having them starve in the streets.
We live in freedom and peace, and we even donate more money to welfare projects across the world than any other. We send our peacekeepers out to preach peace between nations, and support others by sending in the few forces we have, to ensure the safety of the civilian population.
And you tell me, that we have FAILED.

You seem to have lost the fact that the US puts more money into other nations in emergency orperations, social and national help...
If you have better healthcare then why do the richer of your people either leave to US for BETTER quality care, or get in first......... STILL you have longer lines, which one of national healthcare main points is to take waiting away..........
Who in socialism ranks has not caused more problems?
Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Hitler, all socialist ideals and run, all mass murdering tyrants.......Just a thought...
Never is a "peace-keeper" a person or organization which "preaches" peace......they ENFORCE it, UNLESS IT IS THE UN...........Never has ANY socialist nation just "preached peace" remember Communist Russia didn't just want to "sit alone in a corner" they wanted to take over the world....

Kinda almost sounds like socialism.... Grand ideals lost in human reality... There has not been 1 socialist rule which went wrong.. they all forget one thing human nature rules over intention... somewhere someone is living in luxury i.e. party rulers, while others i.e. the people live in abject poverty and brutal control. I remember what the Chinese students said during an interview.."It must be so liberating to be able to defend yourself with deadly force (with firearms) than have to watch helpless as others are taken away and never seen again."

Having no clues, whatsoever of the differences of "pure communism" and leels of socialism.
Stalin was a Stalinist, Hitler was a National Socialist, Pol Pot was a Fascist. They claimed to be one thing, but acted like another.
But you generalize an entire group. And has little to none knowledge of any of it.
"And a socialist nation has never only preached peace", back that up please. Show me proof of my nation (Norway) wanting to "take over the world", or anything even slightly related to that.
And better quality healthcare in the US than in my own. HA! Another point yet to be proven.
Sure the rich avoid the line by going to private owned institutions, and that is because they can afford it. But _!everyone!_ are given the care they need. Not only those who can afford it.
I do not see the need to discuss this any further with someone who has no clue of any facts or historical/political knowledge in general. You only make claims, but has yet to prove them.

Sure, they all taught their own version of socialism. But not the correct one, by any definition.
Norway is a Social Democracy. And currently, the Workers Party is now in power. Which makes us a socialistic nation. I think I know my own country better than a narrow-minded American with dubious grammar.

Pol Pot believed in political cleansing, just because one leader does something insane, does that mean we should denounce the entire system?
