No problem, it's about time a piece of literature got a DD!

Is the piece about a sickly, maybe prematurely born child that didn't make it? When I read it, that's what it seemed like to me, but there's a lot of room for other interpretations, too, so I wondered. That's a sign of good writing, though--when you *think* you know what the author is talking about, but you can't be completely sure. Makes it more interesting and personal for each reader.

That's a really good interpretation, actually - I never thought of that. It works well.
I like leaving things open for that very reason.
